Eds big speech, a bit overshadowed by the live feed from US air-combat aircraft, but friends, I have to tell you that Ive made enough empty rhetoric speeches myself to know one when I hear one. Isnt it action thats needed, rather than promises? One of the drawbacks of growing older in the 21st Century is the number of election speech promises youve heard previously, and remembering how few were carried into action. I havent yet identified a group, unless its Chartered Surveyors, that he hasnt promised something to. Call me Mr Cynical if you like but I prefer Mr Realistic, if not Captain Realistic!!!!!!!
