Ellie now has a kind of colostomy bag attached to her hip wound, which collects the discharge so that the doctors can measure the volume, and check the current antibiotics efficacy. They fear that the antibiotic they are using at the moment may be losing its fighting power, and are looking at other/additional options. She had a good day today, though, and went to the art room etc. Yesterday she also caught up with her hip spica buddy Caitlyn who has returned briefly to get a replacement cast. (Karen is joining the hip spica party by pretending she also has one.) The second pic is of their little escapade up Grafton road to get Ellie some fresh air and sushi. Quite a mission, since the footpaths dont have smooth, if any, ramps, so Rolf was traffic controller for them while Ellie was wheeled via the road!
