Email sent to Rocky Adkins today: Mr. Adkins, I am becoming disappointed in the lack of action concerning the Cannabis Compassion Bill. I have compiled a large dossier of peer-reviewed scientific research concerning our cause, and I have emailed it to everyone in the General Assembly but I am getting the feeling that none of our legislators are reading it. The facts stand clear: Cannabis is medicine, both corrective and preventative, for a multitude of illnesses. It is time that our leaders acknowledge this. If this bill dies in a committee this year, as it has the past two sessions, then I will be actively campaigning against every person on that committee in their next election (even if that election is over two years away). Polls show that around 75% of Kentuckians agree with me. I will make sure to inform every voter I can about which candidates supported our cause and which ones did not. Senator Blevins has stepped on board, co-sponsoring the bill in the Senate. He is representing the people of our area well, as they favor this legislation. We would appreciate you showing similar support. Finally, to address the response Ive recieved from a few legislators: There are adequate regulations and controls in the bill, please read it completely. Thank You.
