Ending notes: Time was our biggest enemy during this event as several upcoming and hot titles could only be quickly glazed at during our busy schedule. The Witcher 3 is a strong contender with its open world mechanics, Wargaming.net provided a glimpse into a vast online battle arena filled with planes, tanks and warships. Disney Infinity could provide a winning formula in providing the tools to create our own worlds with a plethora of Disney characters available in Toybox mode. PES2014 and Castlevania 2 were tested hands-on and although interesting could struggle to gain a foothold in the very much contested genres the fall under. Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z was cruel and bloody with its cell shaded portrayal of a ninja in a quest for… something but who cares! Slash and keep slashing! Several more titles were presented such as Company of Heroes 2, Payday 2 and Total War Rome 2 but sadly time was lacking to grasp a feel or prolonged glimpse of them. Overall the E3 experience was enormous in providing a glimpse of things to come, be it next-gen or current-gen there will be plenty of games for all to enjoy and have fun with. Having the opportunity to experience upcoming titles first hand with the actual game developers next to you is unforgettable and at the same time an honour bestowed upon thyself. The decisions by Sony and Microsoft in their respective approach to next-gen are both risky, controversial and maybe will bear fruit of the way things become next year. Perhaps being dragged kicking and screaming into next-gen as we savour the crop of games being developed and digest the sacrifices for such a move will be quickly forgotten once we experience it? Who knows, I bet you time does. Thank you for reading, perhaps I have written too much or not enough for many but it’s the content which matters in the end.
