European Stocks Decline Amid Slowing China Factory Data European stocks fell, following their first weekly slide in more than a month, amid concern over growth in China and mergers-and-acquisitions activity. U.S. index futures and Asian shares also slipped. TDC A/S lost 6.1 percent after Denmark’s largest telephone company agreed to buy cable-TV provider Get AS and said it will cut its dividend. Nobel Biocare Holding AG dropped 6.1 percent after Danaher Corp. agreed to acquire it, paying less than its share price at the last close. SABMiller Plc and Heineken NV both advanced after the U.K. brewer was rebuffed in an attempt to buy the Dutch company. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index slipped 0.4 percent to 343.05 at 8:19 a.m. in London. The benchmark gauge slid 1 percent last week, the first loss since the week ended Aug. 8, as investors considered central bank stimulus policies, and opinion polls before a Scottish referendum this week. Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures declined 0.3 percent, while the MSCI Asia Pacific Index retreated 0.6 percent. Read more at Bloomberg News
