Even so FAITH, if it has not WORKS, is DEAD, being ALONE. Yes, a man may say, “You have FAITH, and I have WORKS: SHOW me your FAITH without your WORKS, and I will SHOW you MY FAITH by MY WORKS (James 2:17, 18)… It never ceases to AMAZE me the NUMBER of people in the Church who say they BELIEVE in Jesus and feel that’s ALL there is to being a Christian, a SAVED MEMBER of the Body of Christ. They FAITHFULLY ATTEND church services, GIVE in TITHES and OFFERINGS, and LOVE their PASTORS with all their HEART; but when it comes to DOING anything FOR Jesus, or FOR God – they SHOW NO EVIDENCE of any WORKS that have borne FRUIT to PROVE that they BELIEVE what they give LIPSERVICE to SAYING they BELIEVE. One of the GREATEST questions that can be ASKED of any Christian/Disciple of Christ is, “If someone LOOKS at your LIFE, will they be able to SEE that you’re SHOWING by your ACTIONS that you BELIEVE what you PROCLAIM to BELIEVE?” There are far TOO MANY people in CHURCHES professing Jesus and that they’re SAVED, but they aren’t DOING anything to PRODUCE any FRUIT that BEARS WITNESS that they’re actually SAVED. They aren’t LIVING HOLY, SANCTIFIED lives; they aren’t MEDITATING in God’s Word on a REGULAR basis; they aren’t PRAYING with any type of FREQUENCY; they aren’t FASTING at all; and they most CERTAINLY aren’t WITNESSING or EVANGELIZING to the LOST SINNER with the Gospel of SALVATION. So the QUESTION now becomes, “If you TRULY have FAITH in WHAT you SAY you BELIEVE – then WHY aren’t there any WORKS in your LIFE to VERIFY or CERTIFY what your MOUTH is PROCLAIMING?” When you TRULY have FAITH in Jesus, the WORKS that Jesus did, YOU too will also DO!!! Is your FAITH the REAL DEAL, or just an ILLUSION?
