Ever since I was a kid, Ive been fascinated by the mysteries of the Universe. I wanted to be an astronaut, but soon realized that I was born much too soon for interstellar space travel. That did not stop my imagination from traveling to distant planets and galaxies and I grew up on a steady diet of sci-fi. My first short stories were in this genre and a crash course in quantum physics is the seed of the next novel(s) with a new twist on time travel and romance. I bet some of you didnt know I was a geek at heart. The reality of the universe is humbling. In such a context, conflicts on Earth seem so pointless and primitive. I came across this awesome image today from the Hubble Telescope. Its the largest photograph ever taken of the Andromeda Galaxy (which, by the way is on course to collide with our galaxy. Relax, that wont happen for a few billion years.) The image is 1 1/2 billion pixels in size. Pretty awesome when you consider you are looking at a 61,000 light year cross section that is two million light years from Earth. Never mind the science. Its just inspiring and breathtaking to look up and see the stars. https://youtube/watch?x-yt-ts=1421782837&v=udAL48P5NJU&x-yt-cl=84359240#t=42
