FAO all members When I arrived at the rail bridge on Sunday there were 3 French guys fishing from up on top of the rail bridge down into the river! They first tried to say they werent fishing but after I pointed out the fishing rod in his hand as he was saying this -they soon apologised. I told them not only were they poaching, they were also likely to be in trouble with the transport police if caught up there. They then told me they didnt kill and eat fish and theyd like to catch barbel. I told them that theyd kill one trying to pull it up to where they were fishing. I reminded them about licenses and buying permits from the tackle shop at worcester. I then said if they left now I wouldnt call the police and they soon left. I did see them later in Rushwick messing around on bikes and they must be staying in the area. Please keep an eye out for them. Whilst we do encourage our members to police our waters with us and question anyone they fear to be poaching our waters if you do not feel safe doing so then please contact myself or Tom Dixon.
