FDR speech to Congress about the Japanese attack on Pear Harbor. - TopicsExpress

FDR speech to Congress about the Japanese attack on Pear Harbor. It is interesting to note he using the word invasion during this speech. Why? Well...after the initial attacks on Pearl and Hickam, it was a logical conclusion that Japan was going to take and hold the islands with troops. We couldnt have stopped them. So remember those words when the inevitable historical re-write crowd proposes all of these conspiracy theories about December 7th and War in the Pacific. Many of these theories operate from the logical safety of knowing the future. The prime example was knowing that carriers were the next dominate ship. That the Battle of Midway was going to happen. And with such lopsided losses to Japan. Frankly, we are damn lucky we didnt flat out loose the Pacific War part of WWII. Just imagine what we would have left to fight with if our carriers were destroyed there? Try to imagine USMC and Army troops transports getting sunk whole-sale of we had lost our carriers. And how do these theories factor in the breaking of the Japanese radio codes which led to Midway? They cant. Marky ow.ly/Fu4JP
