FROM CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION: Are You In Compliance with WPS and NYSDEC Pesticide Regulations? In September, about 30 greenhouses were inspected for Worker Protection Standard (WPS) and other NYSDEC pesticide regulations. Only 5 were in complete compliance. How would your greenhouse have fared? Are you in compliance? If you arent sure, then be sure to attend one of the upcoming trainings sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk and Nassau Counties and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC). Thursday, February 27, 2014 Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department 540 Roanoke Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901 Thursday, March 13, 2014 Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County Horticulture Center 832 Merrick Avenue, East Meadow, NY 11554 Both workshops will be held from 1:30-4:30pm (with registration from 1:30-2:00pm and the workshop from 2:00-4:30pm).
