FYI..our NC legislators hard at work passing a law that it is illegal for someone drinking, drunk or having the after effects of drinking, to operate an ambulance, fire truck or law enforcement vehicle. Also House Bill 830 adopts the fossilized teeth of the megalodon shark as the official fossil, the pine barrens tree frog as the official frog, the marbled salamander as the official salamander, the VIRGINIA opossum as the official marsupial. HB 1131 exempts Clay county from State wildlife laws regarding capture of the opossum, in order to use it for their annual Possum Drop in Brasstown....ALSO they found the time to give themselves a raise!!! Dont you feel safer knowing they have our best interests at heart?
