Facial recognition software has now jumped a new threshold.. Its now so accurate that even in live situations it can scan a database for a match and produce perfect results, identifying everyone in the street of interest to local authorities. Many of you are oblivious of these new developments, but I see them as weaponized algorithms. Of course these algorithms will be used on social platforms, but their impact spreads throughout the Web. Companies ahead of the game have harvested your pictures, posts, and browsing behavior anticipating algorithms like this one. And now its here. Petabytes of data are going to be analyzed by these algorithms, combining all the pictures you left behind everywhere on the Web, securing those profiles, and harvesting even more personal data from them. I dont think I will be able to erase all traces of me from the Web, even when I have tried to stay as anonymous as possible. Read my lips; I saw this coming 30 years ago. You.. Are at risk. Dangers lurk on every unforeseen future corner. And for many, if not all people posting their pictures online, its already too late. As it is for your friends in your pictures, and even the people you unknowingly included in your pictures..
