The project will be starting around January 2014 and is a year long project. The professionals can be from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. I would request if you can kindly circulate information within your circle and ask the professionals( having experience of not less than five years) in required below mentioned fields. 1: Script writer for Radio Drama; Script writer for TV Drama; PR/ Communication expert; Translator 1 (from /to) English-Dari; Translator 2 (from/to) English Pashto; Editors; Production & publication expert; Media reporter; TV Spot; News coordinator; Production manager and quality; Radio broadcasting; Team Leader/ Project Manager Qualifications and skills: ∙ MA degree in communications, journalism, mass media, film making or equivalent, ∙ Post-graduate degree in any of the mentioned field would an asset, ∙ Excellent drafting capacities with good command of the English language, ∙ knowledge of local languages will be an advantage, ∙ Capacity to adapt to hard working conditions and proven ability to work in a multicultural setting, General and specific professional experience: ∙ At least 10 years of experience in public relations, journalism, media or equivalent, ∙ Understanding of the rural development and local governance structures in Afghanistan, ∙ Proven and documented experience in producing narrative features and high quality documentaries, ∙ Proven knowledge of administration and human resources management, including budget and financial planning, ∙ Previous work experience in Afghanistan and with development related projects is a strong asset, experience in project cycle management, ∙ Sound understanding of diverse social practices in Afghanistan and preferred communication channels is an asset. The proposed expert should cover as much as possible the above mentioned criteria. Especially the MA degree, the 10 years of experience in the requested sectors as well as knowledge of rural development & local governance structures.
