Finally home! Nearly had to stay another night but she pulled through in the end. I have learned a lot whilst in hospital these last 4 days... 1- hospital food needs to improve if they actually want people to heal and actually get better faster. 2- you know your body best (or in my case, my babys body). Dont be afraid to speak up and be assertive if something isnt right. More often than not, the nurse on duty is only seeing a snapshot and then they handover to the next nurse on duty. Not everyones perceptions are the same! However they do the best with what they know. 3- being stuck in hospitals is not fun! Especially when you dont know when youre getting out of there... So sympathies go to people that are in there all the time or for long periods... Saying that... 4- I am so glad we live in a country with a half decent Medicare system that provides medical assistance to those that need it mostly for free (well aside from taxes). 5- I am truly grateful for supportive family and friends that will drop everything and help us out. 6- I am even more grateful for an amazing husband that can juggle everything and puts 110% into our family.
