Fire destroys Wilmot Country Store Around 5:00am this morning, Tasmanian Fire Service and Tasmania Police responded to a report of a fire at the Wilmot Country Store. The fire completely destroyed the store, all stock and the adjoining residence. Thankfully the occupants of the residence, who were home at the time, managed to escape uninjured. The cause of the fire is undetermined. Investigations continue to determine the exact cause. The damage bill is estimated between $550,000.00 - $600,000.00.
