“First Annual I Ain’t Dead Yet” Party When the doctors tell - TopicsExpress

“First Annual I Ain’t Dead Yet” Party When the doctors tell you that you are going to die and you are going to do it very soon you think things through and make plans for checking out. We all do. Pat and I did all the usual things like updating our wills and making sure Pat would be able to keep things going here in the house she loves. I also let people know and did some other things on a personal level. But then I did what everyone does and thought about my funeral. I’m not trying to be morbid or dramatic as I really didn’t give it a lot of thought except as it affects Pat, my kids, family and others that I love. But then I decided to do what everyone says they are going to do but never do. I decided I’d rather have my friends gather around when I’m alive than after I’m gone so I’m going to throw a party. I am a very very blessed man when it comes to my family and friends and would like to see you when I’m feeling great not when I’m too sick to enjoy you. If this seems like a selfish thing to do, it is, but if you come you’ll have a good time too, so come. I have a lot of people praying for me so I may be around a long time. If it works out that way, I’m good with that and will throw a party next year and the next and the one after that etc. What I’m saying is I’d rather be seen than viewed. Some of you are thinking that you don’t know me that well but it sounds like fun. If you are reading this you are invited so come on! Here’s the scoop Date October 13th Place 4025 County Line Road Kents Store VA. 23084 It’s pot luck so bring a plate to pass and lawn chairs (Note some people will be flying in or driving a distance so if you’re local bring a little extra if you can and an extra chair or two so those that can’t bring anything will be well fed and will have a place to sit.) Time—We will eat between 1 and 2 pm but for those that would like to attend we will have some music and a short bible study at 11 as some will not want to miss church. Come when you want. If you can please let us know as soon as you can if you are coming because if it looks like it’s going to rain and we have a lot of people we may set up a huge tent. If it’s a maybe go with yes and if it doesn’t work out we’ll understand. You can RSVP by E-Mail at dougdeats@yahoo or call me at 804-241-2021 I have family and friends flying in from out west and this will be a great opportunity for you to see them as well. If you are thinking that you only know me from the Kennel, Rasawek, or Facebook this means you. Come on we want you here!
