Fishing Wrecks, Fleetwood This place is a haven for landscape photographers who love an abandoned fishing boat or two (or four). Located to the right of Fleetwood Marina and accessed via the car park at the end of Jameson Road, There are four vessels that are on the edge of the River Wyre and it is incredibly gloppy, ensuring that wellies must be worn. Park up in the free car park at the end of Jameson Rd, walk over the bridge over the duck pond, along the path and down onto the estuary. Tips: Take a couple black bin bags for you to lie / kneel on should you want to get some low down shots on the mud but also to pop your wellies into once back at the car. Go when it is absolute low tide and on a lovely warm day as this will dry out the mud more effectively, High tide can leave you shooting not as close to the boats as you would like and as always, should you visit any of the locations you find on this page, come and share your photos with us along with any tips or tricks of your own.
