Fitness/Health Tip of the Day Who is has a nice butt? You do!!! Trying to sculpt a nice butt is task of its own, which seems to only be successful with models and “genetically gifted” individuals. The “nice butt” or glute training can be accomplished by incorporating one simple overlooked and underused exercise into your routine. GLUTE BRIDGES!!! I am befuddled at the amount of people I see that are glute training without glute bridges being a staple in their programs. Not only is it the anti-seated position, it teaches you how to extend your pelvis, strengthen your posterior chain, and it completely destroys (in a good way) your glutes when performed correctly. Once glute bridges are incorporated into your glute training, you will have the “I have to jump into my pants” problem. Nice!!! How to Perform: • Lay flat on your back with head, shoulders, and butt touching the floor while maintaining a neutral spine. • With your arms straight out to the sides and palms up (like you are making a lower case “t”), bend your knees and place your feet flat on the floor. • While having a posterior pelvis tilt (pretend your have a tail and someone is pulling it towards your nose), push through your feet and extend your hips into a neutral spinal position.
