Following the dreadful terrorist attack which took place in Paris on 7 January 2015 and which deliberately targeted journalists, freedom of expression and freedom of the press, the EU Delegation to Ghana decided to express our sympathy and solidarity by flying the EU flag half-mast on 8 January and by observing a minute of silence at 12.00. Ambassador William Hanna read a joint message by Jean-Claude Juncker and Kristalina Georgieva, President and Vice President, respectively of the European Commission, in which they called on colleagues around the world to demonstrate unfailing support for freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
