For ALL of our prayer warriors - As you know Mallory has been back in the hospital since last Friday. The initial reason for coming in was actually for a round of potassium, since hers was low. On Saturday she had some GI bleeding so on Sunday she received 2 pints of blood and scheduled to have a biopsy today. We will not receive any kind of report until sometime tomorrow. However, the dr said he couldnt get the scope in very far and the tissue in her bowel is very friable and he didnt want to get too aggressive and cause some major bleeding. He said on her last biopsy report the bowel had rejection but even at that time he thought it might be dying. Today he felt like the bowel is dying if not already dead. The last words he said to me before walking away is, Ive got to go now and get working on this. I dont exactly know what this means but have been told this could possibly mean there is more urgency now for the transplant and might increase her MELD score significantly. At this point I am just letting my thoughts out because Ive only seen one person from the transplant team since the procedure because it was later this afternoon. We definitely NEED lots of prayer. First, that the bowel isnt totally dead. Second, if it is that it doesnt become septic. Third, that due to findings today that her MELD score will increase as high as possible. Fourth, of course, that organs will come available ASAP! And, of course, for Mals strength, anxiety, nausea, pain and just overall feelings. She is very weak, so weak she doesnt even feel like talking, for any reason. For those of you who know her personally, that is definitely not her personality. Thank you for all your prayers. I know satan is trying VERY hard to get to me, as I have sat down a hundred times to type this out and each time something else would pull me away from getting it done. He doesnt want us praying. Please pray for each of these specifics. I know the Lord has been and still is in control of this journey. Thank you all again for helping us take this to the Great Physician.♥♥♥
