For The Serving Personnel Veteran Air Vice Marshal HM Shahul - TopicsExpress

For The Serving Personnel Veteran Air Vice Marshal HM Shahul writes If I am not wrong, there was a move to make all officers and men retiring from Service, life Members of the AFA, while I left the service in 1990 prematurely. Having been at the helm of AFRO as the AOC, it will be much easier to counsel the retiring airmen to become life members. The net working of the AFA through their Regional Networks to the most remote places of India has lent great credibility to the AFA, in the service of deserving personnel PARTICULARLY the aging and the widows. . I am privileged to say that most Retiring Airmen at their prime youth have brought laurels to the Air Force and of course, enhancing their career potential in the Civil assignments. Today some of them are Regional Managers of the Bank. My own Secretary, a very efficient Clk GD Cpl after his PG from IGRUA has become a Regional Manager of a Public Sector Bank. So also many many such cases we read from the Police on the FB. It is to their credit that some well to do personnel who have established as a leading partners in building industry come forward to assist the needy in a big way. I see this as a prominent feature in Chennai AFA. If I am in town I do attend these meetings and particularly this is a great education for me as I was detached from the Air Force during my two decades of Civil Aviation tenure in varying capacities. My Greetings to AFA India and all Branches for their committed involvement. Regards. HMS.
