For someone who never prays or asks folks to pray for me things seem to go pretty well for me. What do ya suppose that means? Actually, for me things are probably neither better or worse than for someone who prays. Im sure it mostly has to do with my outlook; because I dont believe mankind to be a grand creation of some mystical craftsman, or see mankind as the center of the universe, I tend to take negative things a little less personally. If, for example, I lose my wallet I dont see it as some punishment for rattling the cage of a vengeful God. I dont spend my days questioning whether some minute action will cause me some supernatural lashings. Quite honestly, it is a weight off my shoulders to not believe coincidental things happen for a reason. It allows me time to think more of things that do matter. Ahh, but who am I kidding, Jesus probably has a swarm of locusts heading my way as we speak; or better yet, when I inevitably get stricken with cancer from these goddamn cigarettes all the spiteful Christians can shake their finger at me and go, See, see what happens when you deny our creator.
