For the past several years, Ive ended my Good Fridays by watching The Passion of the Christ—thats right, that intense and gory 04 film directed by Mel Gibson. Now, I must be honest, its certainly not an entertaining or uplifting way to spend a Friday evening. Far from it. But I do feel the film helps me better understand the horrible pain and death my Lord and Savior experienced on that first Good Friday around 2,000 years ago.
