For those of you wanting to understand some of the intricacies of Swinging big flies to Steelhead in fast moving waters then pay attention to the several casts made by friend and fish Doctor Emy from Italy...we played around today in below zero temperatures within falling water conditions,his first cast he immediately mended the fly line, moving the fly onto the surface and away from the strike zone..although Emy understands English quite well it is a task to not speak too quickly..on the second cast he understands the need to keep the fly in the strike zone, feed it how to keep it there and sees the result from understanding this. A nice bright West Coast Summer Steelhead on his own tied tube fly on his own Vision Siks 134 #7 6 pc Spey rod,Vision 520 Skagit head and fast sink 10 PolyTip..a not so bad day on the water with friends and fish
