For those that were suggesting the use of wd40 on horses. Heres the reply from the company themselves. They didnt answer my question if its toxic or not. Dear Karen Young, Thank you for contacting WD-40 Company. WD-40 was created as a line of rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for use in the aerospace industry to protect the outer skin of the Atlas Missile from rust and corrosion. WD-40 is formulated to be a light lubricant, penetrating oil, and water displacing corrosion preventative. It contains petroleum distillates and should be handled with the same precautions for this type of material. If you or your horse have had WD-40 come in contact with your skin, you should wash your skin with warm soap and water. We also have a 24 Hour Health & Safety line if you need further information. The number is651-603-3431 Thank you again for contacting WD-40 Company. Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Best regards, Karen Olson WD-40 Customer Service
