For those who do tint your hair at home with a permanent shade, refrain from putting it through the whole of your hair each time as not only will you wreck your hair, you will get intense colour build-up on the mid-lengths and ends so should you want to go lighter at any juncture, you may end up needing a colour correction which will cost you in condition and will put a hole in your wallet! Root re-touches and a refresh using a semi-permanent shade every other time will be far less damaging.
