For those who missed the posting and have asked about pictures of Floki, here are the pictures we posted last week. Floki is over 10 years old. My cousin Rick, who stays with Max and Simba if we are away from home, his mom adopted Floki from the local shelter. She didnt know his health condition when he was adopted. I had seen him there over the months when I have gone in to take treats and visit with the kitties. He has problems with his gums and teeth. His fur was long, but very matted, that was one reason no one was adopting him. He lost weight as time went on. A month ago he was adopted and when his new mom discovered he has multiple health issues, she has been taking him to the vet. He weighs less than 7 pounds. But, he loves attention and purrs and gets in your lap and no one is a stranger to him. At Christmas, he sat right up in a chair at the table (not getting on the table, but watching) and was fine in the midst of a few children. He is one of the friendliest cats I have ever seen. He loved the toys and treats I took him too and loves catnip toys. Im glad my cousins mom adopted him. Not many people would do for a kitty what she has done for him. The vet said he would not have made it much longer at the shelter. He is shaved now and waiting for his beautiful fur to grow back, while also getting him well. We are so happy he gets to live out his senior years in a caring home.
