Forecast Bulletin - Mauritius WEATHER NEWS FOR MAURITIUS ISSUED AT 16h30 THIS SATURDAY 05 JULY 2014. GENERAL SITUATION: (A). A strong wind warning is still in force in Mauritius. (B). The anticyclone almost to the south of the mascarenes maintains a perturbed and rather cold trades over our region. FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Partly cloudy to cloudy tonight and tomorrow morning with passing showers mainly over the high grounds and the windward slopes. The minimum temperature will be between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius over the central plateau and between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius along the coasts. Cloudy periods with slight showers over the high grounds are expected in the afternoon. Partly cloudy eslewhere. The maximum temperature will be between 19 and 22 degrees Celsius over the high grounds and between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius along the coastal regions. Wind east south easterly 30 to 40 km/h with gusts reaching 80 km/h. Road users and the public in general are advised to be cautious while going outdoors. Sea rough.
