Found my stash of sheet music today. Kind of stuck on art music now. Must stop flipping scores or Ill never get any sleep. As always, Hilary Hahns technique is blasphemous. Ive been trying to shift over to her style of bowing, but Im not there yet. Sort of good that Im without a violin. Easier to change my way of thinking and to forget my bad habits if Im not repeating the old ways day after day in rehearsal. Lately, Ive learned a lot about my technique just sitting on my ass, and Ive changed a lot. Im expecting to make another leap in skill level once I get back to regular practice and experiment with all of the new ideas Ive found or been given. Thirteen days, and Ive been without a violin for a year. Yep, Im a little obsessive. I know exactly what day my inanimate buddy passed on.
