Found out today Mayas surgery is being moved to the 13th. She will be admitted on the 12th. The idea of waiting another week isnt something we can risk at this point. She will be having her old site explored and a new CVL placed. Unfortunately this is not simple given Mayas lack of access and poor healing. They do feel they can find a site to use and can hopefully find and fix whatever the issue is that causes her to continue to have pain and bleeding from her site. Its progressively getting worse so as much as Id like to avoid this its not a choice we have. She also is suppose to have another liver biopsy but since we moved things up Im not sure that will happen at the same time. Her bilirubin continues to be very high, but we are seeing subtle signs of improvement and some better bilirubin levels that although still considered critical are a definite improvement and another reason we continue to have hope. Please pray for guidance for Mayas surgeon and all those who care for her.
