Four strong contenders for top cop job in UP The approaching date of retirement of Deo Raj Nagar has triggered hectic lobbying for the slot of DGP in Uttar Pradesh. Among the several takers, as many as four IPS officers seem to be the front runner for the top cop job. They are A K Gupta, Rizwan Ahmad, Rajan Dwivedi and Anand Lal Banerjee. While Gupta belongs to 1977 batch, Ahmad is from 1978 batch whereas Dwivedi and Banerjee belong to 1979 batch.
