Fraternities and brotherhoods existed since the start of early civilizations, first among sworn kinsmen, knights, monks, mystics, roman collegias, craft guilds, burial clubs, and later into fraternal societies and friendly societies. It is human nature that people desire to associate with each other either for social, philosophical, political, religious, mutual-benefit, or business purposes.
