Free Comic Book Day was a great success yesterday! Despite a bit of rain, we had a huge turnout and passed out lots and lots of free comics. There was an awesome variety of costumed volunteer greeters - superheroes, movie characters, zombies, princesses, and more. We thank all of you for your enthusiasm, originality and preparation. We also are grateful to the face painters, the ice cream vendor, the musical entertainment and those who provided tents, pizza and other supplies. Our Doug did an outstanding job organizing and coordinating all aspects of this annual event once again. Our manager, Marge, also did a lot of extra work to make this day a success. We appreciate the patience all our attendees exhibited waiting on line so long! We are grateful for the hundreds of food items donated to our food drive by our customers. Thanks go to The Erie Times-News and WJET TV for publicity of our event. Last of all, the staff of Books Galore, thank everyone for supporting us over the years!
