Friday, August 2, 2013 This morning Ellen and I took a ride to Superior, Arizona, with another couple (Jerry and Doris Miller) for breakfast. While en route God gave me this thought: “As Christians we need to develop our relationship with God in the spiritual realm with kingdom principles and less in the realm of humanity with democracy principles.” We too often develop our relationship with God in the realm of humanity, that which we can see, smell, feel, and experience. Maybe that is why so many Christians constantly seek that warm, fuzzy feeling with God. Our relationship with God needs to be developed in the spiritual realm, with kingdom principles, where God is King, Supreme Ruler, and we, His loyal subjects, bow before Him, realizing that we are His children as well. Unbelievers operate in the realm of humanity, they are the ones who can say: “After all, I am just human.” That excuse no longer works for the believer and the believer needs to stop using it. I asked God about that (because I thought; Hey, what a great way to excuse my sinful nature and the sinful things that I do) and God told me that we are human, but, when we truly receive Him as Lord and Savior we become “born again,” we become a new creation, and now longer can use the term; “I’m just human after all.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! When we are born again we are to no longer to live in the realm of humanity but in the spiritual realm by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. We need to stop our stinking humanity thinking and start thinking in the regeneration of the spiritual realm. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us because we now live in the spiritual realm by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit instead of the realm of humanity with the empowerment of sin. When you become born again you no longer are slaves to humanity but are free to devote yourselves to God. It is a battle we constantly fight against, but it is a battle that can be won as we move from the realm of humanity and into the spiritual realm. Just say no to the human nature and say yes to the spiritual nature. Philippians 4:13 We can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us! Why? Because we no longer choose to live in the realm of humanity but in the spiritual realm. All things are possible in the spiritual realm. All it takes is the faith of a mustard seed. Philippians 4:19-20 My God will meet all my needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. To my God and Father be glory and honor for ever and ever. Amen! (emphasis mine) Altar Call: Today: is the day of your salvation. Today: is the day to make yourself right with God. Today: if you have heard God’s voice, do not harden your heart against Him. Today: give yourself totally over to God and walk in His ways. Response: Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. Please, Lord Jesus, forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You that You love me so much that You died for me on the cross of Mount Calvary so long ago. I give you my life and ask you to take full control of my life, so that my life may be pleasing to You, from this moment on. Teach me Your Word (the Bible), fill me with the Holy Spirit, so that I can defeat the enemy’s attempt to sway me away from You. I accept You as my Lord and Savior and will strive to obey Your commands and live my life as You have exemplified in Your Word (the Bible). I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen!
