Friends, have you heard of the term informal rescue? This is something that happens in communities all over the Country, but none more so, than low-income neighborhoods. These are regular folk who take in dogs and cats from neighbors, friends, family or off the streets. These individuals are VITAL in the fight to reduce the number of animals entering our shelters. Friends of Animal Care & Control believes in supporting these informal rescuers with free spay/neuter and information on other available resources (food, vaccinations, etc...) and celebrating their contribution to improved conditions for animals in the Valley.
