From 28th of February to 3rd of March 2014, 8 voluntary organisations from seven European countries met in Innsbruck (Austria) for the second transnational meeting of the VolunVET project. In preparation for the meeting, round-tables took place in each country on the good practice of the hosting organisation of the previous transnational meeting (The Andalusian Platform of Volunteering). The participants of the round-tables elaborated a list of recommendations to better respond to the lack of skills and competences from Volunteer Coordinator. This list of recommendations from each organisation was then presented to the The Andalusian Platform of Volunteering during the first part of the meeting. Throughout the four-day meeting, participants also attended the following activities: ● A presentation by the hosting organisation (SPORTUNION Tirol) of its good practices in recruiting, training and managing Volunteer Coordinators. ● Visits to the on-going activities of the hosting organisation and meeting with the local staff, volunteers, Volunteer Coordinators and beneficiaries. ● A presentation by the hosting organisation of the compilation of training materials for Volunteer Coordinators in its country. The VolunVET project is a Leonardo da Vinci partnership co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme. Its objective is to help voluntary organisations with the training of their Volunteer Coordinators by sharing, improving and disseminating materials for the Vocational Education and Training of Volunteer Coordinators.
