From Jafar Ramini.... I am not in the habit of excluding my non-Arabic speaking friends when I post something very important, emotional and moving in Arabic like the video below. This is the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia lamenting the loss and desecration of Al-Haram Al-Sharif in Jerusalem by the Zionists. Vowing to give His life for its liberation and urging other Muslim leader to pledge the same. Even if you dont understand what His Majesty says, you cant fail but be moved. One famous incident I remember very well. After the1973 war when the Arabs used the only weapon at their disposal for the first (and last) time against the West for their total support for Israel, Henry Kissinger the then Secretary of State paid the late King Faisal a visit. They met in Jeddah and the biggest Zionist of them all and Arab hater par excellence said to the King: Your Majesty, my plane is empty of petrol and I need to fly home, how can I do that? To which the brave and dignified King Faisal replied: Mr Secretary, I need to do the Friday prayers in Al-Haram Al-Sharif, but Jerusalem is occupied by your people, how do I do that? They dont make them like King Faisal anymore in Arabia. Alas this encounter and these brave, dignified and honourable words cost Him His life. RIP my Liege. Youre sorely missed.
