From Norman Borg Coach U17s Today the U17s travelled to Springhills. We played a hard fought game and went 1-0 down early. We settled down and scored our equalizer thanks to Anthony Pace. Unfortunately two bad injuries took their toll on our midfield when Yannick Tshibala couldnt play on with a calf strain and our thoughts go out to Mahad Hagi who came from a pre season knee injury only to re injure it again during his first game back and will not take part for the rest of the season. Two close chances went missing when Kyle Borg hit the crossbar with a great header and Machealen Naidoo beat the keeper only to have it cleared off the line. Unfortunately Springhills made most of their limited chances and scored again. Overall a well hard fought game by all. Keep up the hard work boys. We should be really proud of our efforts even though the result didnt go our way. Final Score Springhills 2 Point Cook Jets 1
