From a Jamaica corner to a cage at Brooklyn ACC—Beauty’s head - TopicsExpress

From a Jamaica corner to a cage at Brooklyn ACC—Beauty’s head must have been spinning that awful day! But Beauty was a trooper and allowed herself to be poked and prodded by all these strangers. Already spayed and microchipped, she was found to be in good health. Then 2 days later, while still reeling from the shock of the upheaval in her life, Beauty met the person who would do her behavioral assessment. Again, as scary as it was, Beauty was described as “calm and relaxed during handling, as well as when playing tag with the assessor’. She didn’t like that plastic hand coming into her food dish and was absolutely perplexed by a strange dog suddenly coming in the room. Did the growl mean, ‘leave’; did it mean ‘who are you’, did it mean ‘I’m scared’. Only Beauty knows. But all in all, ACC has no concern about allowing her to be adopted by the public. But sadly, Beauty’s caught the shelter cold and so she’s on tonight’s euthanasia list! Only someone who sees that Beauty is really a beauty, that Beauty is a good dog in a bad situation, and that Beauty will be a great companion can save her now. Are you that person? Can you foster or adopt Beauty. At 2 years old, she has so many great years left to live; so many doggie kisses to give. If you’re the one, speak up right now—tomorrow Beauty will be gone!
