From his foster mom Jen: Hi - my name is Larry (aka Larry Lover). I am a Boxer / Great Dane puppy, approximately 6 months old. In case you missed it, I am part Great Dane, which means I am going to be a big dog. I already weigh 50 pounds, so be prepared for me to grow into my huge paws and tip the scales to the triple digits (100+ pounds). But don’t let my size scare you. I am an absolute love bug. I want nothing more than to be a part of a family. My foster mom and k-9 siblings have been teaching me manners and they all say I am a quick learn. I am potty trained and love using my doggie door. I still get a little scared about going somewhere, but once I am in the car, I am great. I just don’t want to be left behind again. I enjoy going for walks and walk nicely on a leash. Honestly, I am a pleaser so anything that makes you happy, I will try my best. I am a bit of a goof ball and have quite a bit of energy. I would love an active family who wants to take me for walks, hikes, play ball with me or anything that helps use up my energy. I also absolutely need another dog in the family. I live with 3 foster dogs right now and can’t imagine life as an only dog. When I am not playing, I love to just lay on my dog bed near my foster siblings and foster mom. I am still a puppy, so I will need someone who is patient and willing to continue my training. I do love kids, but since I am such a big dog, I prefer kids a little older. I am goofy and have a tendency to accidentally knock over the little ones without even realizing it. I haven’t met a cat yet, but my foster mom thinks I would like them because I like everyone I meet. By the time I am ready for adoption, I will be neutered, microchipped and be current on all of my shots.
