“GET IT ON” FOR PEACE – Ben Teeger has asked: Australia is often lauded as a successful multicultural society. My experience as a Jewish Australian, however, is that dating or marrying outside of my community is to be avoided, and is often condemned. Mr Frydenberg, according to the statistics about 1 in 5 Jewish Australians intermarry, and Mr Husic, about 1 in 10 Muslim Australians intermarry. Should interdating and intermarrying be encouraged in order to increase tolerance, harmony and social cohesion in Australian society. Or to put it differently, can we get along, by getting it on?
