GM FB! Atrophy (of body tissues or an organ)-waste away, typically due to the degeneration of cells, or become vestigial during evolution. Sentence - Without exercise, the muscles will atrophy. Synonyms - wither, waste, shrivel, shrink I heard this word in a sermon, had to look it up for myself and it has stuck w/me ever since. It struck home ystrdy as I laid in the bed practically all day. When I tried to get up, man it took all the strength in me and it really hurt, so I decided to get some of what was left of the sun before it went down. That little bit did me some good. It got me wantn to move a bit more! Thought about some of the things God has given to me to do and I havnt moved yet! Some things as a Christian I should be doing, expecting even! How long am I gn to lay here and allow my spiritual tissues (faith, gifts, etc.) develop atrophy to the point of withering away! I can rmbr a call to a nursing home when I was an EMT. How this lady became septic, b/c nobody noticed the huge decubitus ulcer (bed sore) that had developed on her back from not being moved regularly. It was so bad the doctor at the hospital showed us that he could stick his hand in the hole and she would feel nothing; all tissue in that area dead! All this from her not being moved...very sad! That woman unfortunately had no choice and had to depend on sm1 to move for her, but thank God you and I can do this for ourselves! The sun is shining and the birds are chirping; its a new season! Its time to rip the plastic off the windows and let the sun and Son of God shine through! Time to start exercising and getting back into shape physically, mentally and spiritually! We cant let atrophy set in. Write the vision, make it plain (Hab 2:2), make a move; lets go! Bless and thank God and see how much you enjoy the day! #atrophy #wither #luke180 #wilderness #writethevision #makeitplain #letsgo
