GMFBF, Its October 30 with only one day remaining before a brand new month, with all its glory, settles in for a 30 day run. THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS are on the way. As we get busy preparing for the holiday season, lets not forget our most important assignment...that is, if we are parents to small children. It is important to spend quality time with our children, no matter how busy we are. Working others may have to juggle busy schedules to make time for this, but I assure you, IT WILL PAY BIG DIVIDENDS. Read & remember: My hands were busy through the day, I didnt have much time to play-the little games you asked me to, I DIDNT HAVE MUCH TIME FOR YOU. ID WASH YOUR CLOTHES, ID SEW & COOK, bUT WHEN YOUD BRING YOUR PICTURE BOOK, & ASK ME, PLEASE, TO SHARE YOUR FUN, Id say, a little later, Son. Id tuck you in all safe at night, & HEAR YOUR PRAYERS-TURN OUT THE LIGHT. THEN TIPTOE SOFTLY TO THE DOOR, I WISH Id stayed a minute more. For life is short & years rush past, a little boy grows up so fast. No longer is he at your side, His precious secrets to confide. The picture books are put away, there are no childrens games to play. No good night kiss, no prayers to hear, that all belongs to yesteryear. My hands, once busy, now lie still, the days are long & hard to fill. I wish I might go back & do, the little things you asked me to. P.S. Love, Mommy.
