PROSPERITY GOSPEL - WISE OR FOOLISH . Those who preach a prosperity gospel are often “very prosperous” “They tell others, “Plant your seed of faith today by putting your money into my ministry and God will bless you with prosperity.” Yes they often live in Mansions with their own jet and runway. - They are of the “many” who preach “Grace without Law” – They are building their houses (their lives) “on the sand” -- “Jesus says “Narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life, and there are FEW who find it.” He offers you no crown, no mansions now but rather “difficulties.” But in those difficulties He will be with you. There is no “wide gate” or “broad way” to heaven. Christ calls those who preach this prosperity gospel, “false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves” Matthew 7:14-15. . THE FATE OF THE MANY . He tells us the fate of the “many” preachers and people who follow them. They preach a gospel of cheap grace and say “God’s law has been done away with” Jesus speaks about these many preachers and many people and says, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:22-23. . WHERE ARE YOU BUILDING? ON THE SAND OR ON THE ROCK? . Jesus tells us that the “foolish” Christian is like the builder who built his House on the sand. He built his house on the sand because he wanted an EASY LIFE. It easier to walk through the sand in entering and exiting his house because there were no hills to climb and the ocean view was better than in the rocky mountainside. His motto was “take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘Fool!” Luke 12:19-20.Jesus also tells us where the “wise” Christian built his house (his life). He built his house among the rocks on the side of a mountain. It was “DIFFICULT” to climb up and down to come and go from his house on the mountainside. . TWO TYPES OF CHRISTIANS – BOTH LOOK GOOD BEFORE THE STORM . Both houses, both Christians, looked good when the sun was shining but the day will come when the great storm will hit Planet Earth. It will hit everyone upon the Planet (Daniel 12:1)and the only ones who will survive this storm with Eternal life, a Mansion in heaven and a place on God’s Throne in the Holy City will be those who chose to build on the rock – “THE ROCK OF AGES” – The Rock of Obedience. The “wise” Christian chooses no cheap Grace – They chose Grace purchased by the blood and tears and agony of their Creator and Redeemer, Jesus, the Christ – Their Lord and Savior. The “wise” know that the Cross must come before the crown. Do you believe that? If you do and you live a life as God’s Missionary to the World, a modern day Elijah – Christ will call you a “wise” Christian – His very own son or daughter. Matthew 7:26-27. . THE FEW - THE WISE . He is calling you – He says to you and me “take up the cross, and follow Me.” Mark 10:21. He promises to be with you as you “follow” Him carrying your cross through trials, tribulations, and persecutions. Received, assimilated, they are to be the strength of the character, the inspiration and sustenance of the life. Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being.” Why do we speak so little about God’s promises? What are we learning from our ministers and our personal study? In turn, who is teaching our ministers? Do they understand the wonderful “POWER!” IN GOD’S PROMISES? If so why do we not hear more sermons on this subject? Do they understand that faith in God’s promises impart “courage, faith, and vital energy? Revelation 3:17 says that His last church is “blind” to the power of God’ exceeding great and precious promises which contain the gift of the Holy Spirit, “God’s divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:4. . Here is His promise to you! - God is calling you! Yes you, personally, He says “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the” world. Amen.’ Matthew 28:19-20 -- YES Jesus called ignorant fishermen and the educated to be “Missionaries to the World.” And He is calling you, whatever your education – In this promise above He has called you and provides you the power. . THE FAITH PRINCIPLE . “If you believe the promise . . . God supplies the fact; It is so If you believe it” Steps To Christ, page 51. The Devil says, No, Wait until you have more education. Wait till you’ve had more fun.” But Jesus is calling you NOW! Won’t you listen and obey - He says, “If you love me, keep My commandments and this is one of His commandments. Do you hear the voice of Jesus calling you? He is saying I carried this cross for your salvation. Now Im asking you to carry it through a life of daily service - sharing my Living Powerful Life changing word with others through the books and tracts that explain my last warning message to the world. Of course I did not hear Him say this audibly but His Word spoke to my heart - I love the One who loved me so much as to humble Himself, step down as my Creator (John 1:1-3) and become a created being - a little bitty baby whom the fallen Angel from heaven, known as Lucifer - Satan or Devil, sought to destroy.
