GOD’S SALVATION! IN THREE PICTURES. God’s salvation, as the Old and New Testaments spoke of it, had a broad Meaning. It referred to deliverance or preservation from disease, dangers, Sufferings, death, sin, guilt and the consequences of wrongdoing. It spans the lifetime of a man, nation and generation in three levels: (1) We are saved, (2) We are being saved and (3) We shall be saved. 1) We are saved by grace when we experience the new birth, when we embrace Jesus, accept Jesus and believe in Jesus as savior and Lord John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The picture of new birth shows that God gives life to those who are spiritually dead. 2) We are being saved everyday by grace when we enjoy divine leading and guard from the Holy Spirit And as He helps us overcome temptations which is ever before God’s people. Remember once saved ever saved otherwise called Eternal Security is a false Doctrine. So we ensure we are still in faith every day. And where necessary we make emends by repentance before it becomes too late. Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 3) We shall be saved, Here is the future aspect, it would happen to only those that finish in good faith either by death or rapture. Then the reward for Salvation shall be fully experienced even in Eternity when the end shall come, the possession of points (1) & (2) above actually qualifies one for this. See, Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. The means of God’s salvation may have been a warrior, a king, or some other national leader (Judg 3:9; 2 Kings 13:5), but in the highest sense the saviour was always God. Now Jesus is ready to save and keep you. Beloved, I beseech you to permit him, you will be glad you did. For How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; Have a great moment. Wilson.
