GOOD MORNING QUAD CITIES! TODAY, Thursday January 30th., 2014 TODAY: LIGHT SNOW/MIX. LESS THAN AN INCH IN MOST AREAS. HIGH: 35°. WIND: S 10-20+. TONIGHT: CLOUDY. COLDER. LOW: 10°. Were off to a warm start this morning and will bump above freezing for a daytime high. The northern half of the viewing area should be prepared for about an inch of snow today as another Clipper moves through during the late morning hours. South of the QC will see some snow as well, but from the Quad Cities south less than an inch is likely. We go back to winter-like lows tonight, falling to 10° by Friday morning. Another round of snow is on the way Friday, this time bringing about an inch of snow from the Quad Cities south. There is a good chance the QC will be stuck in between both of these rounds and end up with less than an inch on both days. But were not through yet. Just about everyone will get significant snow on Saturday, with 2-4 falling south and east of the QC, and about 1-3 falling to the north and west. The QC looks set for about 2 of snow on Saturday. Cold and clear air returns for the end of the weekend.
