GVFD Crews Pay Respect as WTC Beam Passes through Greenbelt Shortly before 2 pm Sunday afternoon, crews from Engine 352 and Engine 353 staged on the southbound side of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway near the NASA-Goddard overpass to pay respect as a steel beam from the World Trade Center passed through Greenbelt on its way to Quantico, Virginia. As firefighters, it was a great honor to be able to stand watch as part of the WTC tower, a symbol of the 343 firefighters who died on 9/11, made its way south on 295.
