Gabrielle Fischer Horvath has been an artist for over thirty years working in clay, plaster, resin, glass and bronze. Her self-taught method of “splashing” bronze into sand molds developed through trial and error while working with artist Bill Jurgenson of Vineland, Ontario. Life size figures intricately woven from molten bronze depict a rich topographical surface, multilayered and filled with colours of gold, rust, magenta, and bronze . . . these semi abstract sculptures dazzle the senses. Coloured glass project through the negative space behind the lacy bronze images to add brilliance and fluidity. Gabrielle’s work is sold internationally through galleries and as private commissions.
