Germany are the new World Champions of Football.In regulation time,it was more or less equal and in fact Argentina had slightly more chances of scoring a goal.The German forwards couldnt have their way like they did against Brazil and the German defence was for the most part more than adequate.Argentina had a packed,efficient and tough defence but as had been said earlier,they find it very hard to score inspite of the presence of Messi.Of course,the star player is always marked by two or three players.One of the highlights was that when Germany attacked,there were a minimum of 4 players at the front,all in a straight line whereas for Argentina there were only 2 players upfront most of the time.Argentina didnt deserve to win because of their inability to score goals.The Germans deserved to win because they are a very good team and could only get better.Though they met their match in Argentina,the fact that they have a fantastic forward line which scored so many goals and dominated most of the matches means that they deserved to win.Their defence was adequate but a team with a better forward line might have put them under more pressure.For.example the Dutch forward line in full flow.
