Gift To A Friend This project looks at the practice of gift-giving to compare the similarities and differences between Asian and European traditions. The types of gifts given by people on particular events reveal much about their culture and background. Studying the art of gift-giving helps people understand and get to know each other better. Students will communicate via social networks, and introduce the various gift-giving traditions in their countries. They can use pictures, videos, or drawings to present information. Some holidays and festivals are pre-selected as initial topics for discussion. Students will also participate in a role-playing game where they act as tourists in another country looking for souvenirs to give to friends and family. An exchange of ideas will be cultivated, and offer further insights into each other’s culture.
